For the past three years I’ve been primarily interested in wildlife and landscape photography in Northern California. The diversity of terrain, animals, and atmosphere is vast and dynamic. Seasonal changes and migratory patterns, from birds to whales and elephant seals, always keeps me engaged.
Capturing the coastal environment has been a specific focus, and I often do that while sitting in my kayak. Paddling with gear has its risks of course, but the rewards are extremely gratifying. I can access seldom seen spaces, get close to aquatic life, and cover a large amount of distance in a single day. Fighting the current, wind, and waves is also an addicting challenge. A single frame can make the adventure worthwhile.
You can see my recent work on Instagram or visit my journal page for in-depth stories. I’ve also started creating short form wildlife videos.[/ppb_text]
