So this is the little project I worked on over the holidays. A new website designed for craft beer lovers who reside in the Bay Area and those who wish to visit the region. If you’re not plugged into Twitter or constantly scanning the web, it’s hard to stay on top of what’s going on in the Bay Area craft beer scene. Tastings, beer dinners, festivals and special parties are always popping up at venues across the region with new and interesting beer to try.
My hope is that Bay Area Craft Beer will be your guide to this community, featuring an event calendar, news and information about the breweries and brewpubs who make beer, the bars, stores and restaurants who lovingly serve it, and the beer bloggers who absorb and document the foamy landscape.
The site covers the nine counties surrounding the San Francisco Bay: Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Francisco County. The region is the cradle of the craft beer movement and is currently home to over 50 breweries and brewpubs that come in all shapes and sizes.
I hope you find something useful or interesting on the site. Every effort will be made to keep it accurate and up to date, but since it’s a one-man operation at the moment, please double check with any venue about events or operating hours. If you would like to suggest a venue for the guide portion or make a comment or inquiry please contact me.
All Over Beer will continue as my personal blog, but since my free time has dwindled even further, I’m not sure I’ll post with the same regularity, but hope to do so.
